But the problem is that Apple maps become the default map on iOS devices such as the iPhone. So, can we set Google Maps as the default map on our iPhone? Well, the answer is absolute yes.
I show you the steps to set Google Maps as the default map on your iPhone or iPad.:
Before you start, please note that to set Google Maps as the default map on iPhone or iPad we can’t directly set Google Maps itself. We have to set the other Google apps that are related to Google Maps usage so that it can be set as default on iPhone or iPad.
- Set the Chrome browser on your iPhone as the default browser.
The detail of the steps are:- First, launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Then, scroll down the screen, find the Chrome browser, and tap it.
- After that, tap the Default Browser App.
- Now, check Chrome so it will be the default browser on your iPhone.
- Set the Gmail app as the default mailing app.
The detail of the steps are:- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone device.
- Tap the Gmail app. If you haven’t installed it yet, please go to App Store to download and install it.
- Tap on the Default Mail App.
- Check the Gmail choice.
- Now, launch the Gmail app.
- Tap the 3-line button on the top-left corner.
- Scroll down, find Settings, and tap it.
- Then, tap the Default apps.
- On the Navigate from your location, and navigate between locations section check the Google Maps
